Margaret Esther "Nan" Lockard, 82, of Westminster, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at home.
Born Aug. 24, 193,1 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Oathelia Taylor and Gladys King Taylor. She was the wife of Jesse R. Lockard, her husband of 65 years.
In her early years, she worked as a beautician, and she later retired from the Carroll County Board of Education as a bus driver.
She attended Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, collecting angels and bird figurines, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Jesse R. Lockard Jr. and wife Rose, Chris Lockard-Windsor and husband Stan, Nita Jones and husband Jim, and Judy Miller and partner Tom Stonesifer, all of Westminster; a brother, Mike Taylor, of Catonsville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service, 3 p.m. Sunday at Carrollton Church of God, 2151 Bethel Road, Finksburg, with the Rev. David L. Meador officiating. Interment will follow in the Carrollton Church Cemetery.
