To Edie and her family: As a first cousin of Ed Hubbert, Sr. I am saddened by his passing but grateful that I was able to visit you and Ed on our trip to Maryland a couple years ago. It was such a joy to see both of you and I have been happy that we have kept in touch all these years! He has my admiration for the family that you two raised, for his valiant WWII service. Our thoughts will be with you as you try to cope with his loss and the different ways it will affect you in the coming days. I send my love to you.

Edith,
This is Jerry and Ana Carr, your cousins in Fort Myers, FL. We together with our daughter Jeannette, just learned of your loss and wish to extend our deepest sympathies. We had the highest regard for Ed.
I was fortunate to have worked one summer at the C & P in Elkton and he was kind enough to take me with him as he drove along the telephone lines looking for storm damage. For a teenager in a summer job, that was a real thrill. He will be missed!

Uncle Ed, what a wonderful Uncle you have been. You have brought so much joy and laughter to the entire family. We will miss our conversations with you about past and present times. We will miss our summer picnics and eating crabs with you. You lived a long and good life and yes- you picked a girl from the right side of the tracks! Thank you for serving our country and for being a special part of our family.
With Love,
Fred & Jackie
