Aaron Floyd


Aaron "Big A" Floyd of Yosemite died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Kindred Health and Rehab. He was 95. Born in Waynesburg on Nov. 17, 1917, he was the son of the late Christopher Columbus and Myrtle Patterson Floyd. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Clarice Williams Floyd whom he married on Dec. 28, 1939; three sons, Robert A. Floyd of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carroll C. Floyd of Campbellsville and W. Gene Floyd of Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at Mt. Olive Christian Church with Rev. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be at Durham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
