Alvery Eversole, 78, of Casey County, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at his home.

Born Aug. 11, 1938, in Perry County, he was the son of the late Kelly and Betty Colwell Eversole. He was a logger and a member of Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Alvery loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jackie Cissell Eversole, whom he married Feb. 12, 1982; three sons, Roger (Susan) Eversole of St. Roberts, Missouri, Jeffery (Eunice) Eversole of Mitchell, Indiana, and John Waylon Brown of Liberty; three daughters, Jeannie (Mike) McAllister of Kennesaw, Georgia, Tina Stacy of Cartersville, Georgia, and Tamara Brown (Josh) of Liberty; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Colwell of Busy; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Enoch and J.C. Eversole; and three sisters, Gladys Campbell, Mabel Tucker and Fannie Simms.

The funeral was Saturday, Jan. 28, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brothers Tim Reliford and J.R. Grant officiating. Burial followed in Casey County Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be given to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
