Betty Floyd, 71, of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Oxford, Florida.

Born July 31, 1945, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Cora Mae Richards Traylor. Betty was owner-operator of Floyd Gate. She was a hard worker, loved her cats and enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Over the past
several years, Betty enjoyed her time living in Florida and watching Blue Bloods and In the Heat of the Night.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Floyd of Liberty; two sons, Bryan (Stephanie) Floyd and Scott (Jessica) Floyd, both of Liberty; three grandchildren, Brigham, Gracie and Gunner Floyd; two brothers, Joe (Joy) Traylor of Liberty and Glen (Rose) Traylor of Hustonville.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brother Ed Parton officiating. Burial follows in Glenwood Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondayat the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the , Casey County , 1504 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502 or dropped off at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Edwin Allen, Collin Allen, Brigham Floyd, Leon Wesley, Dennis Davenport and Darrin Pratt.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Pratt, Larry Floyd, Billy Estes, Chubby Baird, Bobby Lee McFarland, Steve Overstreet, Philip Marple, Carl Sandusky, Dr. Miles Gibson and Dr. Thomas Baeker.
