Betty "Boo" Overstreet passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was 78. Born June 21, 1934 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Clement V. and Nora Lizabeth Carman. She was a homemaker and worked as a cooked for the school system. Mrs. Overstreet was a member of the Liberty First Baptist Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, Russell H. Overstreet of Liberty; a daughter, Patricia (and Mark) Davis of Fillmore, Ind.; three grandchildren, Bridget (and Joey) Cox, Amie Skiles and Erica Skiles; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mallory, Karli Joe, Kiera, Mackenzie and Addyson; a brother, J.C. Carman of Liberty; three sisters, Lettie Sue Pittman of Liberty, Judy Carol (and Butch) Fancher of Indianapolis, Ind. and Jody (and Ronnie) Salyers of Waynesburg; and close family friend, Kyle Weddle of Liberty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Russell Dale Overstreet. Funeral services were Aug. 25 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating.
