Catherine Marie Phelps Wesley, 83, Attica, Indiana, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, in Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Bethelridge. She was the daughter of the late Lorenza and Sally Blaine Vaught Phelps. She was raised in the Bethelridge community, attending Casey County schools.

Marie married Dallas R. Wesley in Bethelridge, on March 21, 1953. After their marriage, they moved to Attica.

While living in Attica, Marie worked in the cafeteria at Attica Grade School and High School until her retirement. She also had worked at Radio Material Corporation and Redman's Grill in Attica.

Marie was a member of Attica Free Methodist Church. She has given her heart to the Lord at an early age and followed her Lord and savior her entire life. One of her greatest joys was hosting yard sales every year. She enjoyed listening to country music by her favorite artist, Alan Jackson. Following her retirement, Marie traveled extensively throughout the United States with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, J.C. Phelps; and two brothers, Donald and Edward Phelps.
Marie leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Dallas; two daughters, Valarie S. (Robert) Maus of Attica, Indiana and Vicki L. (Frank) Adams of Lafayette, Indiana; two sons, Greg W. (Margo) Wesley of Attica and Jeff R. Wesley of Lafayette; a brother, Charles Phelps of Science Hill; four grandchildren, Nathan Maus, Amy Maus, Kevin Wesley and Kyla Adams; and a great-grandson, Wyatt Maus.

A celebration of Marie's life is at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at Attica Free Methodist Church, 301 N. Sixth St. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating and family and friends speaking.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Maus Funeral Home in Attica.
