Charles "Ed" Cooper Sr. of Hustonville died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was 68. Born May 29, 1946 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Henry and Nellie Rich Cooper. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the widower of Patricia Burton Cooper. Survivors include two sons, Robert Edward Cooper of Hustonville and Charles Edward Cooper of Liberty; a daughter, Michele Wesley of Bennington, Ind.; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother; and two sister. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Lane and Bro. Junior Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Barnetts Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, July 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
