Danny Lee Wolford of Clementsville passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 72. Born May 28, 1942 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Coy and Hilda Keith Wolford. He was a farmer, retired from Northpoint, and a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. Danny was the fire chief at the Clementsville Volunteer Fire Department for more than 25 years. He was a member of the National Guard. Survivors include a son, Anthony Hoyt Wolford of Frankfort; a daughter, Lee Anna Overstreet of Lexington; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Doug (and Sandy) Wolford of Clementsville; three sisters, Ann (and Jerry) Pugh of Cincinnati, Ohio, Margaret (and Leslie) Stewart of Milan, Ind. and Mona (and Harris) Marples of Powell, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sarah Wolford of Clementsville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Dale Wolford. Memorial services were Jan. 4 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with John McQueary officiating. Burial was in the St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Clementsville Fire Department, Disabled American Veterans, or the Salvation Army.
