Dennie E. Luttrell of Windsor passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was 82. Born Feb. 6, 1931, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry and Martha Roy Luttrell. Dennie was a sawmill worker, farmer, and attended the Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, whom he wed Oct. 3, 1954, Helen Stargle Luttrell; two sons, Gerald (and Alice) Luttrell of Russell Springs and Frankie (and Tammy) Luttrell of Dunnville; six daughters, Cookie (and Mike) Brown of Russell Springs, Lilly (and Alan) Patterson of Windsor, Lindy (and Trent) Roy of Dunnville, Birbby (and Kenny) Murphy of Liberty, Sally (and Joel) Pike of Somerset, and Lucretia (and Matt) Jewell of Smith's Grove; 13 grandchildren, Amanda, Crystal, Josh, Jenny, Jason, Travis, Chris, John, Morgan, Matthew, Ryan, Ashley, and Kyle; six great-grandchildren, Bella, Jack, Zack, Bentley, Landon, and Carter; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Albert, and Bennie Luttrell; and four sisters, Inas Luttrell, Ina Luttrell, Mayrene Childress and Betty Brockman. Funeral services were Jan. 13 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial was in the Jennie's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
