Diann Long, 69, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at her home in Casey County.

Born Sept. 16, 1947, in McCreary County. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Goldie Stanfill Rowe. Diann was a member of Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church and a homemaker. She was a foster parent for 16 years and a member/treasurer of Dorcas Quilting Club.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Long, whom she married in 1984; five sons, Jonathon (Jennifer) Shoemaker and Tommy Long, all of Liberty, Mark (Rachel) Long of Lexington, Lionel (Melanie) Long of Panama City, Florida, and Loren (Laura) Long of Salvisa; four daughters, Sylvia (James) Stinson, Ashely (John) Blevins, and Rachel Long, all of Liberty and Leeza Long of Danville; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Stephens of McCreary County, Eleanor Malkowski of Montana and Hazel Duvall of Liberty; and three brothers, Leroy, Ronald and Boyd Rowe, all of McCreary County.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Stanton Long; a grandchild, Tyler Cook; a sister, Jean Rowe; and her best friend, Mary Lee Wilson.

The funeral was Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brothers David Clark and Boyd Rowe officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Lionel Long, Jonathon Shoemaker, Tommy Long, James Stinson, John Blevins and Taylor Cook.
