Doris D. Noel passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was 78. Born in Dec. 1, 1933 in Adair County, she was the daughter of the late George K. and Maudie Lee Harden Bailey. She worked at Fruit of the Loom for over 26 years and was a member of Noel's Chapel Church of God. She was a member of the Creston Homemakers and the Casey County Homemakers Club and served as president and vice president in both Casey County and the Lake Cumberland area. Doris received an award for the longest involved homemaker in Casey County and was awarded Kentucky Master Farmers Homemaker of the Year. Survivors include her beloved husband, Bennie Noel of Liberty; a daughter, Pamela J. Noel of Campbellsville; a son, Timothy (and Benita) Noel of Elkhorn; three grandchildren, David, Cassandra "Casey" and Ava Noel; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Shawn Noel; and Aunt Bernice Cox of Louisville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda M. Noel. Funeral services were Sept. 2 at Noel's Chapel Church of God with Bro. Cameron Cain and Bro.
