Earl Delmer Buis of Liberty died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was 66. Born in Liberty on Aug. 12, 1946, he was the son of the late Claude and Bannie Parton Buis. He was a timber man and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Sue Vaught Buis; a daughter, Rachel Michelle Vaught of Bethelridge; two grandchildren, Zachery Vaught and Caitlynn Murphy; brothers, Harold (and Margie) Buis of Yosemite, Sterling (and Ruby) Buis of Liberty and Glen Buis of Pellyton; sisters, Ethel Mae (and Brent) Smith and Debbie (and Carl) McAninch, both of Liberty, Sue Clements of Indianapolis, Ind., Carol (and Jimmy) Loy of Russell Springs and Louise (and billy) Rodgers of Greensburg; and a sister-in-law, Charlsa Buis of Liberty. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Buis; and a brother-in-law, Lilburn Clements. Funeral services were Nov. 3 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Molden officiating. Burial was at Rich Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darren, Jeff and Keith Buis, Darrell Loy, and Garnett and Charles Hampton.
