Eula Mae Craven Watson, 66, of Liberty, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born March 3, 1950, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Don and Ruth Hendricks Cravens. She was a homemaker and attended Willow Springs Methodist Church. Eula Mae was a mother of all the children in the neighborhood and enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Watson, whom she married June 1, 1968; a son, Eugene (Paula) Watson of Liberty; a daughter, Renita Watson of Liberty; two granddaughters, Alice Hayes and Hannah Salyers; two great-granddaughters, Nyla Dunlap and Natalie Jewell; a brother, Timmy "Tiny" Cravens of Liberty; and two sisters Donna (Gurvis) Buis of Liberty and Mary Katherine (Dean) Sneed of Yosemite.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Watson; two brothers, William and Willard Cravens; and a sister, Nancy Hines.

The funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 17, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brothers Johnny Maupin and David Bennett officiating. Burial followed in Willow Springs Cemetery.

Donations may be given to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to offset funeral cost.
