Everett "Paul" Martin, age 72, of Pleasant View, Tenn. passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 3 in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Dr. Rosie Pitt officiating. Burial was in EverRest of Cheatham with Frasier Buttrey, Kenneth Emler, Rodney Ford, Robert L. Perry, Jr., Daniel Byrd, Donnie Ramsey serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers were James and Carole Alexander, Stacy Balthrop, and Jerry and Betty Boyte. Mr. Martin was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Lincoln County to the late Everett and Mary Sharp Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver for State Industries. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Martin; and sister, Alice Brown. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carole Martin; sons, Michael (and Faith) Martin of Whites Creek, Tenn., Jeffrey (and Martha Brooke) Martin of Kingston Springs, Tenn.; sister, Stella Allen of Indianapolis, Ind.; and grandchildren, Samantha Anne Martin and Silas Perry Martin. Memorial contributions may be made to the or Alive Hospice. All donations may be sent in care of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tenn.
