Geraldine Tarter Davis passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at Mt. Healthy Christian Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 85. Born Jan. 23, 1928 in Mintonville, she was the daughter of the late Paul Larue and Grace Opal Emerson Tarter. Geraldine was a retired employee of Proctor and Gamble and a member of Winton Place Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Survivors include four sons, Don Pedro Davis of Cincinnati, James A. (and Vonnie) Davis of Erlanger, Larry D. Davis of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Garry Scott Davis of Lake Forest, Calif.; five grandchildren, Tina Marie (and John) Conway, Jessica Ann Davis, Johnathon Davis, Gracie Ann Davis and Joshua A. Davis; and three great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Cecil Davis, who passed away in 2009; and two brothers, Paul L. and Vernon Tarter. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Derick Terry officiating. Burial will be at Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 noon until funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be given to the Hospice of Cincinnati.
