James Hammonds


James Hammonds died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his home in West Chester, Ohio. He was 86. Born Feb. 23, 1928 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Mary Morgan Hammonds. Mr. Hammonds served his country in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Bowmer Hammonds; a son, Gary Hammonds of Pulaski, Tenn.; a daughter, Sheri Cramer of West Chester, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters. Funeral services were June 7 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Coy officiating. Mr. Hammonds was laid to rest in Antioch Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad.
