James Siegfreid Ursprung, 69, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at his residence.

James was born Sept. 6, 1948, in Louisville to Albert James and Dorothy June Poynter Ursprung. He was united in marriage with Diana Lee Byrd on March 7, 1980, in Liberty.

James was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, of Danville. He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his wife, Diana; two children, Jaime Nicole Ursprung Stewart (Shad) of Richmond and Joshua Clinton Ursprung (Emily Mathews Ursprung) of Liberty; two grandchildren, James T. Ursprung and Andrew W. Stewart; a brother, Gerald Wayne Urspung (Ann) of Junction City; and a sister, Sharon Ursprung Hinkle (Clyde) of Junction City.

The family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors.

Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
