James Wilson, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 in Lexington at the VA Medical Center. He was 66.
Born Sept.14, 1949 in Casey County, he was the son of James Wilson and the late Stella Jones Wilson.
Wilson was a sawmill worker and enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Other survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, whom he married Feb. 19, 1972; two sons, James David Wilson and Gerald Oscar Wilson, both of Liberty; two daughters, Connie Sue (Tim) Robertson and Carla (John) Durham, both of Liberty; five grandchildren, LeAnn Durham, Wade Durham, Abbie Durham, Erin Clark, and Megan Robertson; three brothers, Johnny Wilson, Steven Wilson, and Jerry (Sherri) Wilson, all of Liberty; and one sister, Betty Gadberry of Liberty.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Staton.
Funeral services were Jan. 10 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Stidham officiating. Burial was in the Poplar Springs Cemetery, with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
