Junior Davenport passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 79.
 Born April 21, 1936, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Claude Davenport, Sr. and Hettie Pittman Davenport.
Junior was a farmer and loved old cars. He was a friend to everyone and enjoyed waving to everyone as they passed his home.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1958, Faustine Sallee Davenport; two sons, Dennis Davenport and Kenny (Waynetta) Davenport, both of Liberty; one granddaughter, Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Angel.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Earl, and Robert Davenport; and sisters, Martina Rainwater, Joann Corn, and Juanita Davenport.
Funeral services were Dec. 13 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn and Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating. Burial was in South Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chad, Tim, Paul, James, and Jeff Davenport, and Joe Emerson.
