Kirby Carman, 75, of Kings Mountain, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born Aug. 7, 1940, in Casey County. He was the son of the late Eunice Boone and Della Elliott Carman. He was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Mae Singleton Carman, who died May 19, 2016; two sons, David and Danny Carman; two brothers, Roger and Conrad Carman; and a sister, Berdena Carman.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise (John) Hines of Mintonville and Debbie (Gary) Luttrell of Yosemite; a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Carman of Kings Mountain; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Carman Spears of Danville and Faustine Coffey of Martinsville, Indiana.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial follows in Salyers Cemetery.

Visitation at 8 a.m.. Friday at the funeral home.
