Marie L. Scott Buck passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at her daughter's home in Franklin, Ind. She was 81. Born Feb. 29, 1932 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Nora Emerson Scott. She was a homemaker and member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Knifley. Marie was an avid quilter. She was the widow of Kirby Buck, who preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2000. Survivors include a son, Travis (and Cindy) Buck of Franklin, Ind.; four daughters, Wilma Cochran of Indianapolis, Ind., Bernice (and Bobby) Parsons of Murray, Margaret (and Bobby) Williams of Franklin, Ind., and Zelda (and Tom) Peters of Franklin, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip (and Linda) Scott of Liberty and Bobby (and Barbara ) Scott of Paoli, Ind.; and sister, Comella (and Doug) Hafley of Stanford. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Buck; a grandchild, Travis Roy "T.J." Buck Jr.; and two brothers, Ray and Ulas Scott. Funeral services were April 18 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Warren officiating. Burial was at Whited Cemetery.
