Marybelle Godbey passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Charleston Healthcare Center in Danville. She was 84. Born March 15, 1930 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Beatrice Durham Coleman. Marybelle was a homemaker, factory worker, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling  and spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, Virtreas McKinley Jr. (and Sandy) Godbey of Walltown and Donald Ray Godbey of Liberty; two daughters, Inga Dian Stephens of Yosemite and Donna Kay Williams of Yosemite; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a special friend, Mae Raney of Yosemite. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virtreas Godbey, who died March 14, 1994; and a brother, Lawrence Coleman. Funeral services were March 16 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial was in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
