Monica E. Whited passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 53. Born March 13, 1961 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of Rev. Victor J. Gehlhausen Sr. and Sue Ella Badgett Gehlhausen of Stanford. She was a former employee of American Greetings with 31 years of service. Monica was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Stanford. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved husband, Kermit Dewayne Whited of Liberty; two sons, John Robert (and Jynise) Whited of Stanford and Josh (and Nikki) Whited of Liberty; two step-sons, John Bradley Whited of Liberty and Jason Whited of Burkesville; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Jada, and Jaelie; a brother, Victor John Gehlhausen of Manchester; and three sisters, Martha Gehlhausen and Carolyn "Sissy" Coffey, both of Stanford, and Jacqueline "Jackie" Gibson of Liberty. Funeral services were Sept. 29 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating. Burial was in Whited Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Robert, Josh, Jynise, Nikki, Jasmine, and Jada Whited. Honorary pallbearers were Jaelie, John Bradley, and Jason Whited, Alex Blevins, Dustin Adams and Daniel Bastin.
