Paul L. Foster, 94, widower of Margie Carson Foster, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.

Born in Casey County, he was the son of the late Albert and Grace Overstreet Foster.

A farmer, he served as a foreman with Tarter Gate Co., worked with local engineers and later retired as a truck driver with Jones Freight Line. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a long-time member of Gardenside Christian Church. He loved the Lord, his family, playing golf and his horses.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Stafford; and four brothers, John E. Foster, Albert "Nick" Foster, Robert "Bob" Foster and James "Jimmy" Foster.

He is survived by his daughter, Paulette Stafford; special son, Jerry B. Williams; two granddaughters, Sarah Elaine (Jay) Abbey and Myra Katherine (Steven) Wathen; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Manning Abbey, Katherine Calloway Wathen and Elizabeth Clough Wathen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral was Monday at Gardenside Christian Church, conducted by Andrew Messinger. Committal service was Monday at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Liberty.

Memorials may be made to Thomson Hood Family Council or Bluegrass Care Navigators, formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass.
