Ronald Dale Wilson, 72, of Dunnville, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

Born Aug. 23, 1944, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Willie and Esta Mae Zachary Wilson. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Dale retired from the Casey County Board of Education, where he served the community and school system as a teacher and a principal. He was also a basketball coach. He enjoyed playing golf and softball. Dale could be seen daily at the local Subway in Liberty with both of his brothers. He was a member of Dunnville Christian Church.

Dale's life will be forever cherished by his surviving wife, Shelia Neat Wilson. They were united in holy matrimony Aug. 29, 1964. He also is survived by a daughter, Angie Stephens of Liberty; a sister, Patricia Wilson of Liberty; three brothers, Kenneth (Jeanie) Wilson and Carl (Jo) Wilson, both of Liberty, and Paul (Sharon) Wilson of Elkton; two grandchildren, Corey Dial and Madison Stephens; and two great-grandchildren, Lylah Dial and Kensley Dial.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Veltha True, Deltha Lay and Iva Jean Johnston; and three brothers, Ivan Wilson, Leo Wilson and Harold Wilson.

The funeral was. Sunday, May 7, at Dunnville Christian Church with Brothers Derrick Terry and Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard follows in Wilson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Corey Dial, Randy Dial, Terry Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Kenny Wilson and Russell True.
