Russell Price passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Liberty Care Center. He was 90.
Born Feb. 7, 1925 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Archie Price and Lucy Thompson Price.
He was a farmer and a member of the Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Price was a highly decorated World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, David (and Donna) Price of Liberty; four grandchildren, Scott (and Jamie) Price, Shelia Myles, Shannon Price, and Becky (and Tom) Funkhouser; eight great-grandchildren, Alex Price, Adam Price, Andrew Price, Gabby Myles, Hailey Myles, Lauren Myles, Blake Price and Ian Funkhouser ; a brother, Roger (and Wanda) Price; and a special daughter, Joyce (and Rob) Dilbert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Cain Price; a son, Danny Price; one sister, Elizabeth Lazarou; and three brothers, Georgie Price, Harold Price and Jackie Price.
Funeral services were May 26 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating.
Burial was in Casey County Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Caswell-Saufley VFW Post 18.
