Violet Lynn, 81, of Liberty, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Casey County Hospital.

Born April 1, 1935, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late J.W. and Dollie Smith Richardson. She was retired from American Greeting and was a member of Willow Springs United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She loved her flower gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bobby" Lynn, whom she married in May 1954; two sons, Robert (Bonita) Lynn of Liberty and J.W. (Christina) Lynn of Nicholasville; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Rousey of Liberty and Bobbie Gayle (Lonnie) Combs of Louisville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, June Richardson, Marcella Michael, Juanita Pace and LaWanda Wilcher.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Willow Springs United Methodist Church with Brother Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial follows in Willow Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty and continues from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Willow Springs Cemetery Fund in memory of Violet Lynn.

Pallbearers are Joshua, Nathan, Micah and Robert Lynn Jr., Shane Salyers, Daniel Baker and Doug Johnson.
