William McQueary, 72, of Hustonville, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at V.A. Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 23, 1944, in Middleburg, a son of the late William Arvil and Freida Lee Pike McQueary.

William was a mental health counselor, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, and 32nd degree Mason with Masonic Lodge in Oakley, Ohio. He is also a 33rd Scottish Rite and a Syrian Shriner.

Survivors include his spouse, Abby Gayle McQueary; two children, Randall McQueary of Hustonville and Cynthia Diane Howard of Yosemite; six grandchildren; two sisters; Virginia Joann Pike and Audrey McQueary Bastin, both of Hustonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were a brother, James Robert McQueary; and a sister, Cathy Pike.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty with the Rev. Faron Owen officiating. Burial follows in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and continues at 8 a.m. Tuesday May 9, at the funeral home chapel.
