William Morris Hendrickson, 84, of Florence, Ky., formerly of Waynesville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Florida.
Morris was a U.S. Navy veteran. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree from Miami University in Ohio.
He retired from Mason High School in Ohio after teaching for more than 30 years. He also worked several years at the Charles F. Kettering Laboratories in Yellow Springs, Ohio and at Wayne Local Schools in Waynesville.
He attended the Florence United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed UK basketball, woodworking, photography, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Garland Hendrickson.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Garnett; two sons, David (Cindy) and John (Cindy) Hendrickson; four grandchildren, Ryan Hendrickson, Melissa (Mark) Leavens, Krystal Young, and Ashley (Larry) Hadaway; five great-grandchildren, Delilah, Bubby, J.J., Aiden, and Levi; one sister, Mary Elizabeth (Bennie) Lawhorn; a sister-in-law, Betty Rae (Bill) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2 at 12 p.m. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville, Ohio. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.
