Helen Spengler Obituary
Mrs. Spengler's life revolved around her family and her home and she particularly loved being with her children and grandchildren. She had volunteered for more than 15 years at Holly Hall Elementary School, Elkton. Mrs. Spengler enjoyed reading, spending time in the outdoors and dining out.
Survivors include her children, June S. Reasin (Alan), Conowingo, MD and Chuck R. Spengler (Bonnie), Charlestown, MD; grandchildren, Dawn Krahn (Bruce), Chad Spengler, Matt Spengler (Shannon), Brandon Reasin, and Byron Reasin (Andi); great grandchildren, Dustin, Brady, Averi, Chase, Alliyah, Dean and Janeen and a great great grandson, Jeremiah. She is also survived by numerous Heisler cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spengler was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Eugene Spengler.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 10-11 a.m. at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton. A graveside service will follow in Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear about your loss. The minute I saw this I brought back memories of living in Elwood Estates with our back yards touching, and neighbors were family, Everyone looked out for everybody's children. Of course we all had to play outside most of the day back then. AND we were all over the place!!! Memories, great ones, always bring a smile.

Dear June and Chuck, your mom was a kind and spunky lady. She kept busy with her life and cared about others who lived nearby. I am thankful I knew her for a little while. May God bless you all.
