James "Jim" W. Marsh, 73, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at the VA Nursing Home in Gainesville.

Mr. Marsh was born to Alton and Anna Marsh in Leesburg in 1939. James was a lifelong resident of Levy County and resided in Fowlers Bluff.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Marsh was an avid deer hunter, spending all of his spare time in the woods. James love just being around his dogs, especially his beloved dog "Sam." He was known to be a "Jack of all trades." But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Marsh leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 28 years, Jean; daughters, Sheri McLeroy of Chiefland, Anna Yevette Cuccia of Gainesville and Betty Marsh of Gainesville; brother, Howard Marsh of Chiefland; sister, Betty Strickland of Oakville, Ga.; stepchildren, Shelia Pratt and Timothy Wayne Martin; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Marie Marsh and brother, Robert Lee Marsh.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 6 in the chapel of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland with the Rev. Travis Hudson officiating.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland Chapel.
