Margaret Lafayre Fenton, 78, of Cedar Key, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
A native of Cedar Key, where she was born, she was a clam farmer and co-owner of the Water's Edge and Island Tropics. She loved to fish and was a very gracious and loving woman.
Survivors include daughters, Christine Daniel of Cedar Key and Rhonda Mullins of Oxford, Miss.; five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merl "Joe" Fenton; son, Randy and two sisters.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
