Grace DeLois Wright Bond

Grace DeLois Wright Bond, 82, of Orange, Va., passed away peacefully on July 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. Bond; parents, William and Margaret DeLois Wright; a sister, Lula Butler; and a brother, Henry "Sonny" Wright. She is survived by her daughter, DeLois Bond Bledsoe (Jerry); sons, Lawrence R. Bond Jr. (Tena) and Ronnie Perkins (Sharon). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colby (Erica), Jake, Lexy, and Emma Grace Bledsoe, and Karleigh Bond; step-grandchildren, Nick and Lindsay Bledsoe; grandchild, Morgan Perkins; and her sister, Margaret Rosson.
Lois graduated from Louisa County High School, was a home childcare provider, and worked for and retired from JC Penney. She was a faithful member of Rhoadesville Baptist Church.
Lois also loved spending time at the beach with her family, doing word search puzzles by the pool and watching baseball games. She was an avid Yankees fan. Lois enjoyed her apartment and loved when the grandchildren came for sleepovers.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Rhoadesville Baptist Church, Rhoadesville, Va., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. The Reverends Nancy Stanton McDaniel and Chris Gourley will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rhoadesville Baptist Church Community Missions Fund, 26042 Lafayette Drive, Rhoadesville, Va. 22542. An online guestbook is available at johnsoncares.com.
