Karin L. Johnson June 3, 1936 June 6, 2013 Karin L. Johnson, 77, of State College, died June 6, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born June 3, 1936, in Hamburg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Heinrigh and Gertrude Pagel. On Dec. 22, 1958, in Princeton, N.J., she married Jack L. Johnson, who passed away on June 9, 2013, after 55 years of marriage. Karin was an administrator for the Bendix Corp. in New York, retiring after 35 years of service. She was a seamstress, making all her own clothing for years. She enjoyed water skiing, boating, camping and snowmobiling. Karin loved her family and animals. She is survived by one brother, Jergen Pagel; nieces, Petra Kriesten, Tanya Evans (Jim), Anita Corvin, Lori Lettiere (Jason), Lynn Rogers (Bruce); nephews Mark and Bill (Maggie) Wagner; various great nieces and nephews; and her loving little Chinese princess shih tzu, Ming-Soo. Combined Memorial Services for Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801 or the Huntingdon Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
