Bailey, Nina - Bellefonte  
Nina Miriam Bailey June 1, 1928 May 4, 2016 Nina Miriam Bailey, 87, of Bellefonte, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. Born June 1, 1928, in Milton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Madeline and Roy Baylet. On August 30, 1947, in Roaring Springs, PA she married Paul J. Bailey who preceded her in death on November 21, 1967. Nina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her sister Gladys. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading anything regarding the history of the south. She was a great cook and treated others to many of her delicious meals. She also enjoyed day trips, playing cards, watching old movies, horse racing, bingo, and the Grange Fair. Nina is survived by one son, David Bailey and one daughter, Paula J. Farwell, both of Bellefonte; two grandchildren Jessica Bailey of Pittsburgh, and Seth Bailey of Tampa, FL; one sister Gladys Fetzer of Bellefonte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, June Gutshall, one grandson, Curtis A. Farwell, and long time companion Paul Bodenshock. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801, with The Reverend Alex Dynkiw officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nina's memory may be made to The Faith Centre Food Bank, 131 S. Allegheny St., Bellefonte, PA 16801. Benner, Toni M.  
Toni Marie Benner October 3, 1947 May 17, 2016 Toni Marie Benner, 68, of State College, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at her residence. Born October 3, 1947, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Vivian (Kuhn) Jackson. On July 16, 1966, she married Thomas Benner who survives at home. Toni graduated from State College High School in 1965. Upon graduation, she worked as a secretary at Penn State. She became a homemaker when her first daughter was born. Toni started and operated a successful home-based typing business for 17 years. Her business afforded her the opportunity to be at home while raising her two daughters. In 1989, she returned to work at Penn State as an administrative assistant and retired after 16 years of service. She was masterful at shorthand and proofreading and was a very fast and proficient typist. Toni enjoyed crocheting, cooking, decorating, shopping, gardening, and being at the beach, but most of all, spending time with her two grandsons, Samuel and Jackson. She took pleasure in, and was very good at, homemaking. Toni is survived by two daughters, Lori Anne Benner, of Livingston, Mont., and Emily Marie Benner Miller (William), of State College; one sister, Teri Anne Jordan Richards (Max), of Port Matilda. Friends and family will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801, with The Reverend Edward Preston officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kids Court Day Care Center, 278 Gerald St., State College, PA 16801, or The Lemont Elementary School, 675 Elmwood St., Lemont, PA, 16851.
