Ruth E. Raycroft November 20, 1931 April 13, 2014 Ruth E. Raycroft, for- merly of State College and currently of Wexford, passed into the presence of her Lord at the Geisinger Medical Center in Lewistown on April 13, 2014. Born November 20, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Rev. E. R. Raycroft and Lillian Wilson Raycroft, and the sister of the late Rev. Robert Paul Raycroft, Sr. She received her B.S. from Bucknell University and her M.S. from Penn State. She primarily taught microbiology for Penn State, along with coordinating and presenting seminars to health care personnel. In the early 1970's she relocated to University Park where she spent the next five years in administration. She received the Penn State Shenango Teacher of the Year Award in 1997, and retired from Penn State after more than 34 years of service. In addition to her sister, Lillian Raycroft Hadden (David), she is survived by various nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College, PA, and from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Oakwood Presbyterian Church, 1865 Waddle Road, State College, PA. Funeral services will follow on April 17, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church, with Dr. David L. Hadden and other clergymen officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College. Kathryn M. (Kate) Robinson February 22, 1916 April 13, 2014 Kathryn M. "Kate" Robinson, 98, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Born on February 22, 1916, in Howard Township, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Lena B. Leitch Corman. On March 17, 1945, in Pittsburgh, she married Cordis M. Robinson, who passed away on March 29, 2006. Kate attended the Gravel Point School. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked at Titan Medal in Bellefonte before and during WWII. She was of the protestant faith. Kate enjoyed bus trips, often going south to Florida in the spring and north in the fall to observe the changing colors of the leaves. She loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kate is survived by her sister, Dorothy Godshall, of Bellefonte; daughter in-law, Jeannette Robinson, of Huntingdon, grandchildren, Thomas "Bucky" and his wife, Cascy, of Huntingdon, Justin and wife, Lily, of Kalaheo, Hawaii and Nancy and her husband, David Wessels, of Huntingdon; great grandchildren, Samantha, Skye and Paige Robinson, all of Huntingdon and David and Sean Robinson, both of Kalaheo, Hawaii. Also surviving is her son Jim's companion, Gwen Miller, of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Kate was preceded in death by her two sons, Tom in 2007 and Jim in 2012; also six brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, from 1-2 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Doug Mellott officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Marion Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Howard Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 276, Howard, PA 16841 or to the Howard Area Lions Club, PO Box 467, Howard, PA 16841. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Main St. Howard.
