Kevin L. Stiver July 5, 1956 June 24, 2015 Kevin L. Stiver, 58, of Boals-burg lost his battle to cancer on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Juniper Village at Brookline. Born July 5, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Richard "Dick" W. and Sarah "Sally" F. (Goss) Stiver. On June 5, 1982 he married the love of his life, Lori (Keene) Stiver, who survives at home. They recently celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary. Kevin was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and the Centre County Vo-Tech with a certificate in basic electronics. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He did his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and completed technical training in Illinois. He was stationed at Vandenbergh Air Force Base in California where he was a Minuteman 2 Trainer Specialist. Kevin was an electrician at Chemcut/Atotech, he was the owner of K. L. Stiver Construction, and a maintenance technician for the Meadows in Centre Hall. Most recently he was the maintenance technician at Geisinger Scenery Park, surrounded by co-workers he loved in a position he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a member of the Boalsburg Fire Co. He enjoyed fly fishing and tying flies, hunting and going to the family cabin, riding his bike, woodworking and watching NASCAR and football. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons; Brandon Lee (Kim) of Dallas, TX, Nicholas C. of Boalsburg; five siblings, David W. (Connie) Stiver, John F. (Barbara) Stiver, Chrissie S. (Tim) Harter, Tawnya R. (Mike) Fedor, and Brad R. (Shannon) Stiver; mother-in-law, Jean D. (Dashem) Keene; brother-in-law, Robert R. Jackson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lee and Maude (Shilling) Stiver; maternal grandparents, John F. "Bud" and Helen (Thomas) Goss; a sister, Keppy M. Stiver; father-in-law, Robert L. Keene; grandparents-in-law, Nestor W. and Amber L. (Rishel) Keene; sister-in-law, Pamela J. Jackson, and a nephew John D. "JD" Stiver. Friends and family will be received from 6-8p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828. The service will be private and at the convenience of the family at Boalsburg Cemetery. Deanna Marie Stratton August 8, 1961 June 23, 2015 Deanna Marie Stratton, 53, of Morrisdale, died June 23, 2015, at her residence. Born in Morrisdale on August 8, 1961, she was the daughter of Cecil Conklin, and Virginia Cantolina Conklin, of Morrisdale. She married George W. Stratton, Jr. on December 4, 1993, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg. They later exchanged their vows at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Morrisdale. She was a 1979 graduate of West Branch High School, Allport, and was a graduate of Empire Cosmetology School in State College. She was a beautician for many years. Mrs. Stratton graduated from South Hills Business School with an Associate Degree in Information Technology and worked for Penn State University in Information Technology Support. Mrs. Stratton was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale and a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks, Philipsburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by one daughter, Rachael M. Stratton, of Morrisdale; three sisters, Toni Roos and her husband, Milton, of Lanse, Sherry Yontosh and her husband, Tom, of Morrisdale and Kim Sones and her husband, Bryan, of Lanse. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Morrisdale with Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale and Friday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Rosary Society, 22 St. Agnes Drive, Morrisdale, PA 16858.
