Henrietta "Ena" Washeleski Belden September 26, 1922 November 29, 2012 Henrietta "Ena" Wash-eleski Belden, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Mary-field Nursing Home, High Point, N.C. Ena was born in Simpson, Pa., on Sept. 26, 1922, to the late Alexander and Tekla Washeleski. She was a graduate of Fell Township High School, St. Joseph's School of Nursing and The Catholic University of America. Ena was a Veteran of WWII
and served overseas as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corp. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Maryland School for the Deaf. Ena loved people and always opened her heart and home to family, friends and strangers. She was a devout Catholic who was member of Our Lady of Victory Church during her stay in State College. She was also a voracious reader and crossword puzzle aficionado. She is survived by seven children, William T. Jr (Cathy), Mark A. (Kate), Norman J. (Phyllis), Posie (Ando), Thomas M, Dana R. Beeson (Mike) and Christopher P. (Charlotte); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Ena was preceded in death by her spouse, William T. Sr; daughter, Martha L. Kramer; granddaughter, Lauren Thornburg; five brothers; and three sisters. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Simpson, on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Interment followed with military honors in St. Michael's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Poor Servants of the Mother of God: Attn.
