John W. (Jack) Ghaner

John W. (Jack) Ghaner December 12, 1936 - November 22, 2013 John W. "Jack" Ghaner, 76, of Julian, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013, at Hearth-side Nursing Home. Born on December 12, 1936, in Scotia, he was the son of the late Malen and Betty (Stem) Ghaner. On September 9, 1962, he married Nancy Jane (Hendershot) Ghaner, who survives at home. He worked at Corning until his retirement after 22 years of service. John was a Veteran who served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Bellefonte Moose. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Alen W. Ghaner (Mary Flory) of Port Matilda; one grandson, Scott A. Flory (Natasha) of Port Matilda; one sister, Dolly Fogleman of Bell Hollow; and one brother, Tom Ghaner of Milesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. John loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching his grandson race his 4-cycliner car at Clearfield. There will be a public visitation held on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc, in Bellefonte, with funeral services to immediately follow at noon with Pastor Rob Tevis officiating.
