WILBUR B. LIVINGSTON

WILBUR B. LIVINGSTON June 29, 1923 September 18, 2013 Wilbur "Tuffy" B. Living ston, 90, of Pleasant Gap, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at The Oaks in Pleasant Gap. Born on June 29, 1923, in Woodland, PA in Bradford Township, he is the son of the late W. Ross Livingston and Martha C. Adams Livingston. On July 11, 1947, in Juniata, Pennsylvania, he married Mary Kay Wisor Livingston who preceded him in death in 1999. Wilbur was a 1941 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School. He worked as a plant manager for Harbison Walker until his retirement in 1983. Wilbur was a member of the Lake Street United Methodist Church in Woodland, PA. He was a member of the American Legion Post #245 of State College and the AARP, and of the Toftrees CC. He is survived by one daughter, Vicki K. Lozinski and her husband Dennis of Warriors Mark; one son, Samuel B. Livingston and his wife Beatrice Ann of Woodland, PA; one granddaughter, Beth Coudriet and her husband Scott of Clearfield, PA; and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Ethan. Along with his parents and wife Wilbur is preceded in death by one sister, Joan Earnhardt. Wilbur received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in 1945. He served as a Staff Sergeant in Company D of the 180th Infantry Regiment. He served in Sicily, Naples, Rome, Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. For his service he received the Silver Star Medal, the Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Good Conduct Medal, and also the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with six Bronze Starz and BZ Arrowhead. He was an avid golfer and loved Penn State Nittany Lion and Pittsburgh Steeler football. A memorial service with full military honors will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 1:00pm, at the Lake Street United Methodist Church, in Woodland, PA, with the Pastor Sean P. Smith officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 115 Lake Street, Woodland, PA 16881. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
