Arthur A. Seymour December 21, 1925 May 1, 2014 Arthur A. Seymour, age 88, of Lock Haven, passed away, May 1, 2014, at the Jersey Shore Manor Care where he had been a resident. He was born in Lock Haven, December 21, 1925, and was the son of the late Paul E. Seymour and Celia M. Seymour Yeager. Arthur was united in marriage to Emma Shuman, October 25, 1948, whom survives. Mr. Seymour was a graduate of the Lock Haven High School and was a US Navy/Army Veteran having served from 1943 to 1947 as Petty Officer, Third Class during WW II. He had traveled the European, Asiatic and Pacific Theaters. He later joined the National Guards retiring as a Sergeant First Class after 23 years of service. Art had worked for Piper Aircraft in the welding department and the final assembly retiring in 1981, after 30 years of service. He had also worked driving truck for Ross Adams Oil Distribution for a number of years and had driven bus for Susquehanna Transit for over 18 years. Art was a life member of the Beech Creek American Legion, Lock Haven Moose Club and NCO'S. He was also a member of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ. Surviving in addition to his wife, Emma, are three sons: Gary (Susan) Seymour, of Woolrich, Jeffery (Judy) Seymour, of Lamar and Arthur (Susan) Seymour, of New Market, Md.; and two daughters: Jean Ann (Edward) Leisenring, of Williamsport and Connie (Jeffery) Dutton, of Woolrich. Also surviving are a step-son, Harold (Melanie) Erb, of Beech Creek; a brother, Thomas Yeager, of Rote; a sister, Lois Duffield, of Lock Haven; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, PA on Sunday, May 4, 2014, from 3-5 p.m. The family will provide the flowers, memorials will be accepted at the Community Nursing Services of Clinton County, 124 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven or the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd., Lock Haven.
