Jack M. Irvin, Sr. December 6, 1927 May 3, 2014 Jack M. Irvin, Sr., 86, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township. Born on December 6, 1927, in Tyrone, he was the son of the late Archie and Mary (Martin) Irvin. He married Mildred Louise Lucas, who preceded him in death in 1999. He attended Bellefonte School System. Jack retired from Penn State University. He was a United States Veteran serving in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Bellefonte VFW. Jack is survived by his son, Jack Irvin Jr., of Ocean City, Md.; and one sister, Thelma "Sis" Roadarmel, of Pleasant Gap. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kelly Rhoades (Richard), of Bellefonte, Donald Irvin, Jr., (Valerie), of Bellefonte and Stephanie Rossman (John), of Warriors Mark; by three great grandchildren, Cole, Sierra and Blake; daughter-in-law, Janie Irvin; and by his loving dog, Hunter. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded by a son, Donald (Jake) Irvin; five sisters, Jean Rockey, Katty Frank, Betty Irvin, Mary Bosser and Virginia Holland; and two brothers, William Irvin and Donald Irvin. There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 10-11 a.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Calvin Miller officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, College Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Office, 55 W.
