Peter Labosky Jr. January 9, 1937 August 6, 2014 Peter Labosky, Jr., 77, of Boal- sburg, died on August 6, 2014, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born January 9, 1937, in Manville, N.J., he was the son of Peter Labosky, Sr. and Johanna Gezela Labosky. Peter is survived by his wife, Maryann T. Federovich Labosky; son, Kevin Labosky and wife, Tanya, of Boalsburg; daughter, Mary Jo Marshall, and husband, James, of Williamsburg, Va.; five grandchildren; and sister, Mary Koteles, of Flemington, N.J. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Labosky. Peter served in the United States Army following graduating from high school. He later earned his PhD in Wood Science from Virginia Tech. He was a Professor at Penn State University for 22 years, retiring in 2001, as Professor Emeritus. Peter was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Victory, 820 Westerly Pkwy., State College, with the Reverend Neil Dadey officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park following the service.
