Rodman L. Hall Sr. March 12, 1923 December 2, 2013 Rodman L. Hall, Sr., 90, of Milesburg, died December 2, 2013, at Centre Crest. Born March 12, 1923 in Tyrone, he was the son of the late Roy I. and Mable Peace Hall. On August 4, 1950, he married the former Alicia Jane (Jo) Schuyler who survives. Rodman worked at Glenn L. Martin in Baltimore, Md. and Sutton Engineering in Bellefonte. After serving in the army he returned to work at Sutton. He later worked at Dean Phipps in Bellefonte, Cerro Metal and spent 34 years at Penn State University as a supply person for the AFROTC, retiring in 1985. He was a former member of CAP 1300 Headquarters squad. He was a member of the Milesburg Lions Club, having received the Melvin Jones Award. He was a former Constable and code enforcement officer for Milesburg for 12 years, and for a time he was on the Milesburg Borough Council. He volunteered at Centre Crest and the Time Release program at Wingate Elementary School. He was on the board of directors for the Milesburg/Boggs Township Community Center. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a 1942 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was a Charter Member of the First Baptist Church in Bellefonte. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Cynthia J. (Jeffrey) Whitaker, of Charles Town, W.Va., Barbara Lynn (David) Bagley, of Runville and Wendy Sue (Brian) Catherman, of Julian; three sons, Rodman Hall, Jr., of McElhattan, Kim S. Hall, of Milesburg and Kevin S.( Emily) Hall, of Lewisberry; two brothers, Roy Hall, of Bellefonte and Richard Hall, of Milesburg; one sisters, Betty Hall Breault, of Columbia; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Sidney K. Hall; an infant grandson, Nathan Bagley; his brother, John Hall; and his sisters, Jeanne Hall (Charles) Rider and Marjorie Hall (Jim) Weir. Services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bellefonte with Pastor Greg Shipe officiating. Family and friends will be received at the First Baptist Church, 539 Jacksonville Rd., Bellefonte on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 5-6 p.m. the time of the service. Burial will be in Trcziyulny Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 539 Jacksonville Rd., Bellefonte, PA 16823 or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Centre County, 539 Jacksonville Rd., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
