Roy E. Eisenhuth June 10, 1929 March 20, 2014 Roy E. Eisenhuth, 84, of Woodward, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home. Born on June 10, 1929, in Swengel, Roy was a son of the late John and Bessie Zechman Eisenhuth. He was a 1947 graduate of East Penns Valley High School. Upon graduation, Roy entered the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict as a Wheel Mechanic. After returning home, Roy was employed as a machine operator at Yorktowne Cabinets in Mifflinburg. Roy was an avid watcher of sporting events on television. Among his favorites were Jeff Gordon of NASCAR fame, Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steeler football. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Woodward, the Millheim American Legion Keystone Post #444 and he especially enjoyed hanging out with friends at the Shack in Coburn. Roy is survived by his long time companion, Linda Long, of Aaronsburg; one stepson, Steve Long (Elizabeth) and their children, Kalysta and Taylor, also of Aaronsburg; one sister, Janet Dunlap, of Woodward; one brother, Donald Eisenhuth, of Carlisle; two nieces, Karen Sheaffer, of Spring Mills and Desiree Schatz, of Harrisburg; and two nephews, Rick Dunlap, of Woodward and Shane Eisenhuth, of Carlisle. Roy was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Eisenhuth, of Lewisburg. Roy will be laid to rest in Woodward Cemetery during a private graveside service.
