Carolyn B. Capone Carolyn B. Capone, age 83, of Bethel Park, Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Carolyn was born on the northside of Pittsburgh and moved with her father, Dr. Lawrence D. Barrett, to Jacksonville Fla. in 1947. She returned to Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University from 1948-1952, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Journalism. She spent a few more years in State College as the Society Editor for the Centre Daily Times before returning to Pittsburgh in 1954. But, she remained an avid Nittany Lion fan for the rest of her long life (convincing three of her sons to attend as well). She worked at the Potter Bank in Pittsburgh for a few years, until she met the love of her life, Anthony Peter Capone. They were married on September 12, 1959, and spent the next 54 years as friends and companions facing the joys and challenges of life together. Anthony was a self-employed accountant while Carolyn raised the family with the nurturing and guidance that would prepare them for success later in life. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Anthony; her four children, Neil Capone, Anthony Capone Jr. (wife Kellie), Mark Capone (wife Kelly), and Dean (wife Cheryl); and eight grandchildren, Anthony, David, Michael, Jenny, Candice, Brittany, Matthew, and Brian. Carolyn will be forever known as a selfless and caring person, living her life as Jesus taught. Her kind soul, warm heart, and loving embrace will be missed, but we know God awaits his newest angel with His open and loving arms. She left this world a better place for those of us privileged enough to be touched by her soul. Funeral arrangements by Beinhauers. Friends and relatives are welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211 on Thursday 2-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11 a.m. in St. Valentine Church, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park, PA 15102. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
