Joan Rebecca (Howell) Gearhart February 18, 1955 June 28, 2012 Joan R. Gearhart, 57, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Hershey Medical Center. A daughter of the late Ralph and Marie (Fetters) Howell, Joan was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Bellefonte. She was married to Donnie Gearhart, who survives at home. Joan was a 1973 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pleasant Gap American Legion. In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her children, Trevor Irvin, of Bellefonte, and Kasie Irvin, also of Bellefonte; and one grandson, Aiden Irvin. Also surviving her is a sister, Bonnie Ogden, of Clearfield, and a brother, Ken Howell, of Runville. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the home of Ken Howell, 1150 Runville Road, Bellefonte. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
