Paul R. Boone March 22, 1930 February 24, 2014 Paul R. Boone, 83, of Bellefonte, entered into God's eternal care on Monday, February 24, 2014, at Mount Nittany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 22, 1930, the son of Carl N. Boone and Sarah Brown Boone. On June 7, 1956, he married Violet Vonada. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Violet, of 48 years; and a brother, Merrill Boone. He is survived by three sons, Barry Vonada and his wife, Sharon, of Davie, Fla., Carl Boone and his wife, Carol, of Bellefonte and David Boone and his wife, Tracy, of Bellefonte; and one daughter, Alice Kline, of Pleasant Gap. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Rebecca, and Matthew Vonada, Sarah Caracciolo and her husband, CJ, Robert Spicer, Elizabeth Jodon and her husband, Matt, Paul Spicer and his wife, Deb, and Carter Boone. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren. Paul enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. Paul especially loved spending time at camp with his sons, grandsons and friends. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte where he sang in the Chancel Choir for many years. Paul was very active in Sunday School and other church related events. He was also a member of the Penn's Valley Men's Chorus. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2014, at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte and from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Andy Morgan officiating. A private burial will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's memory to Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes St., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
