Rosalene M. Corl October 14, 1929 July 21, 2013 Rosalene M. Corl, 83, of rural Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte. Born on Oct. 14, 1929 in Salona, Clinton County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Ida (Rachau) Schaeffer. On March 28, 1948, she was married to Carl C. Corl, who preceded her in death on June 29, 2008. She is survived by four daughters, Frances (Fran) E. Whitsel (Boyd), of State College, Mary Catherman, of State College, Anna M. Breon (Joseph L.), of Bellefonte, and Connie R. Immel (Larry E.), of Bellefonte; one son, C. Thomas "Tom" Corl (Rosalie), of State College; one sister, Myrabell Spearly of Bellefonte; three brothers, Donald Schaeffer, Paul Schaeffer, and Bob Schaeffer (Helen), all of Bellefonte; 10 grandchildren; one step granddaughter; 19 great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Tice and June Bunnell; and two brothers, Ned and Victor Schaeffer. Mrs. Corl was a member and attended St. Mark Lutheran Church in Pleasant Gap where earlier in life she was a member of the church choir and had played the bells. She had also belonged to the Logan Grange #109 in Pleasant Gap. Rosalene enjoyed music; playing the piano, guitar, and harmonica; singing, cooking pies with her late husband and baking cookies for Christmas; and embroidery. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her beloved family. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 160 N. Main Street, Pleasant Gap on Thursday, July 25, 2013, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Gerald Krum officiating. Interment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 160 N. Main St., Pleasant Gap, PA 16823 or to ELCA Churchwide Ministries, 8765 W.
